The concept
The Conference of the Birds
A journey beyond the self.
NEKYNOIA exists at the intersection of electronic music, Persian mysticism, live performance and visual narrative. Its first point of departure is Attar’s Conference of the Birds and the birds’ search for the Simurgh.
It is not a literal translation of a classical text, but an attempt to find a contemporary equivalent for that journey through sound, body, light and image.
